The lovely Frick Museum has re-opened after extensive renovations and Stacey, Jeremy and I visited. The last time I was at the Frick was when Stacey’s NYU Grad Acting class was taken there by Larry Maslon who was their “Now of Then” teacher.

As a vocal/text coach one of the first things I do is go through the text with the actor and help them figure out where to breathe.
Working as a dialect coach in NYC is interesting and challenging. With the actor, I go through the vowel and consonant changes, discuss the rhythm of the dialect, the duration of sounds and how the pitch (highness and lowness of the vocal range) is used.
